The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse Holiday Cottages at Scotland’s most southerly point are the perfect choice for your next self-catering holiday. Located at the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, our three cottages offer a truly unique and special holiday experience. The cottages are surrounded by beautiful scenery, dramatic coastline and a wealth of wildlife right on your doorstep.

The cottages have been carefully restored and are tastefully decorated to maintain their original charm. Each cottage is fully equipped, centrally heated, light and spacious with all the charm you would expect of a former lighthouse keeper’s cottage.

Thanks to local photographer Graham McPherson,  you can now see right inside the three cottages and surroundings.  With kind permission from the Northern Lighthouse Board, you can also take in a 360 degree view from the Light room at the top of the tower, as well as a stunning view from the balcony.  Click on the image or button below to check it out.

On a clear day experience spectacular clifftop views with uninterrupted views of the Dumfries and Galloway coast, Cumbria, Isle of Man and Ireland. The Mull of Galloway is one of Scotland’s most stunning and undiscovered locations. It is the perfect holiday location for couples, friends or families.

All our cottages are dog friendly.  Up to two dogs per cottage are permitted at an extra cost of £20 per dog per stay.  Please read our Dog Policy before booking to ensure a happy stay for everyone.

Inspirational

Cottage was just as expected, comfortable, cozy ,and great location, too short a stay to appreciate beautiful surroundings, hopefully be back soon. Loved History of Lighthouse and the fact I walked in Gérard Butler’s footsteps #the vanishing.

A stunning location, plenty to see and do. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant and peaceful stay. It was great to see the Lighthouse and Foghorn being preserved, with loads of information on hand and everyone there very helpful. The weather was amazing too, couldn’t help but relax! Will definitely be back.

Peaceful

We fell in love with the Mull of Galloway last year and knew we’d return.

As before, the holiday cottage had everything we needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy.

We love the remoteness and the peace and quite the Mull of Galloway offers. It really is a place to get away from it all.
We were so lucky to spot a large pod of dolphins on our last day there. A truly magical experience.

Lighthouse Tours

The exhibition of lighthouse history and the lighthouse tower are open for tours during school summer holidays and all holiday guests staying at those times can arrange a tour with the staff on site.

Outside those dates, tours are available at weekends from Easter to October and in winter, tours may be available by arrangement with the Site Manager.

The tower is closed in severe weather conditions.
